The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is getting even smarter for the 2021 model year with some exciting updates, including a new tailgate option, impressive capabilities, and improved technology. Taking an already great truck and making it better, the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 is a can’t-miss if you want style and substance in a full-size pickup. The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is available now at Don Larson GM in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Leading the updates in 2021 is the newly available Multi-Flex Tailgate. This tailgate comes with six distinct functions that will make it easier to access cargo and make the bed and tailgate more versatile. This versatility is in addition to the already functional Durabed that comes standard on every Silverado.
Towing capacity has increased for two of the Silverado 1500’s engines in 2021. The 2.7-liter turbocharged engine is now capable of towing up to 9,600 pounds, when properly equipped. In addition, the 3.0-liter Duramax® engine adds 1,900 pounds of towing capability to most configurations with a maximum capacity of 9,500 pounds. This engine also gets a reduction in its MSRP, making it an even smarter and more affordable option.
Chevrolet added more technology to the Silverado this year. The enhanced trailering technology has been improved with an available Trailer Length Indicator feature that helps you safely change lanes while towing. There is also a new available Jack-Knife Alert that monitors the trailer and alerts you if it detects a potential jackknife situation.
The new 2021 Silverado 1500 improves on a truck that has already established its greatness, and you reap all the rewards. The bolder, stronger, and more innovative Silverado 1500 is available to test drive at Don Larson GM.
